Idk bout you but i jus saw 2012 and the movies plot is almost 100% alike to deep imacts only differences r giant boats instead of caves, u have to pay 1billion€ instead of lottery, earth warming up instead of meators, the list goes on, these movies r very much alike lol

A meteorite is a piece of rock that has hit the earth and survived. A meteor is the streak of light visible when a meteoroid enters Earth's atmosphere. A meteoroid is usually no bigger than a boulder. You need an asteroid or a comet. It might not be actionable plagiarism but it's close enough to make it unoriginal to publishers. They'll immediately compare it to Deep Impact and reject it for its similarities. It's just too close to the film's plot. Sorry(!)

My continuation of my first comment. They build caves and have a sign-up in Washington DC. Whoever signs up first, they will survive. The boy signs up but the girl doesn't. The boy marries her and they get into the caves. The meteorite hits earth and everyone outsde the caves dies. The 3 book is about life inside the caves. Does this sound like plagerism? Respond, anyone! PLEASE!

Allright, y'all. I have solved the problem. I'm writing a 3 book series, (not called Deep Impact). Two kids meet and hate each other. They go soon hook up, and at the end of the book they go to the school dance together. In the second book, the president says that a METEORITE is going towards earth and is unstoppable. I'll continue in another comment.
