It's still in debate whether the Kaufman/Lawler fight was staged? Dude they were always good friends and just staging things.
Lawler was at Kaufman's funeral and as a good friend, helped those closest to go through Andy Kaufmans things where he later discovered uncashed checks given to Kaufman for wrestling, showing how Kaufman was a man of passion and not of money.
